What this website does with your data
This website sets no cookies. It shows no advertising, loads no social media buttons, embeds no maps from other sites, and does not follow you anywhere else. That is also why you see no consent banner here: nothing from outside loads unless you ask for it. The videos, in particular, only come from YouTube when you play them — see below.
This is not a statement of intent, it is a verified fact. Everything each type of page loads — and from which domain — is recorded in an automated browser, page by page, and that measurement is repeated whenever the site changes.
Only three outside services can be contacted, and none sets a cookie:
| What is loaded | From | When |
|---|---|---|
| Audience measurement | cloud.umami.is |
Every time a page opens |
| The booking engine | secureholiday.net |
Only if you start a search |
| The video player | YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com) and other Google domains |
Only if you play a video |
Fonts, images — including the video previews — and scripts are served by the site itself. As long as you do not play a video, nothing is requested from Google.
The only thing the site itself writes on your device amounts to one line in your browser’s session storage, and only if you touch the ambient sound button on the home page: it records that you switched that sound on, or that you do not want it. No identifier, no personal data, and it disappears when you close the tab.
These processing operations are carried out by SARL Camping Le Viaduc Ardèche, 1595 route du Banchet, 07410 Arlebosc, France — full details in the legal notice.
Audience measurement
We count visits, to find out which pages are read and whether people find what they came for. The tool is Umami, chosen because it writes nothing to your device: no cookie, no identifier, no stored fingerprint.
What is sent each time a page opens: the address of the page, the address of the page you came from, your country and region, your screen size, your browser language, that browser and its operating system. None of this can identify you: visits are grouped using a fingerprint that is computed and then renewed automatically, and your IP address is not kept. The servers that receive these measurements are located in Europe.
We only ever see totals. Nowhere, on our side, is there any record of one particular visitor’s journey. The legal basis for this counting is our legitimate interest in knowing how much our site is read, pursued with the least intrusive tool we could find.
If you would rather not be counted, there are two ways: turn on your browser’s Do Not Track setting — this site honours it and the measurement then stays completely silent — or use any blocker. Either way, the site works exactly the same.
Booking
The search form on the home page sends us nothing: it passes your dates to the SecureHoliday booking engine, published by the company Ctoutvert, which opens on top of the page.
Until you start a search, nothing of theirs is loaded — zero requests, and that is measured. Once a search is running, their engine stores your criteria in your browser’s session memory, which saves it from asking you again from one page to the next. That data is erased when you close the tab, and here again there is no cookie.
If you go on to book, you leave this website: your details, your stay and your payment are handled by Ctoutvert, on their own servers and under their own privacy policy. They then pass on to us what we need for your stay — our rental contract is what justifies that.
Videos
Some accommodation pages offer a video tour, and the « At the campsite » page a video of the campsite. These videos are published on the campsite’s YouTube channel. On the page, you first see only an image and a play button, served by this website: nothing is loaded from YouTube until you click.
If you play the video, YouTube’s player opens in its place, from
youtube-nocookie.com, the version of YouTube designed for websites that embed
videos. It then contacts several Google servers, which receive your IP
address, as with any video watched on YouTube. Our measurement records no
cookie, but the player saves some technical information in the part of your
browser’s storage reserved for YouTube. What happens from then on is up to
Google, under its own
privacy policy.
If you would rather load nothing from Google, do not play the video: nothing else on the page depends on it.
Hosting, and its logs
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. To send you a page, Cloudflare necessarily receives your IP address: that is how the web works, and no website can avoid it.
Cloudflare keeps technical logs of this, in order to run and protect its network, for a limited period. We have no access to them: request logs are reserved for its enterprise plans, which we do not have. At no point, therefore, do we make any use of our visitors’ IP addresses.
Your rights, and how to reach us
This website has no contact form, no sign-up and no newsletter: we never ask for your name or your address. When you write to us at camping.viaduc@yahoo.com or call +33 4 75 06 74 49, your message stays in our mailbox for as long as it takes to answer you and prepare your stay, and serves no other purpose.
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of data concerning you. Write to the address above: we answer within one month. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL, 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07 — cnil.fr.
